About this plant
Make a bold statement in your shaded landscape with Humpback Whale Hosta, a truly massive variety that commands attention with its impressive 3-foot height and spectacular 7-foot spread. This giant hosta produces enormous mounds of heavily corrugated, heart-shaped foliage in stunning bluish-green tones with powder blue highlights, displaying its most intense blue coloring in spring. Near-white tubular flowers emerge on tall blue-green scapes reaching 4 feet in early summer, creating dramatic vertical accents above the textured foliage. Perfect as a dramatic focal point, groundcover for large spaces, or backdrop planting, this substantial hosta thrives in light to full shade where its exceptional blue coloring is best preserved.
